Iron Creek Reservoir
Well off the beaten track and very quiet place on the shore of Iron Canyon Reservoir in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest roughly half way between CA 89 to the north and CA 299 to the south (about 25 slow miles in either direction). At the mapped spot you're out of sight of anyone most of the time (sometimes boaters are on the lake). High clearance recommended to access the shoreline.
